sorry for the two nigh-consecutive news post in a row but i've got to share this
was (seeing as to how i did that yesterday, continuing) scrolling through art tutorials to try to get better at digital art
...they all sucked and most of the tips/tricks were only appliable to drawing tablet artists, i'm a mouse artist
"why not just buy a drawing tablet" because they're overrated, my parents would probably put it off until way later because they just do whatever they feel like when it comes to me (in order for me to buy stuff online, they'd have to take my cash to the bank to put it on my cashapp card), and the last time i had a drawing tablet, this is what i was able to create with it:
the drawing is shit
drawing tablets are shit
most artist "tutorials" are shit
so anyways i decided to search up art tutorials for mouse artists and-
i think i've just struck gold
precise usage of the bezier curve tool while using the eraser tool every now and then to mimic tip endings... genius
this could be an amazing skill to learn if done properly
there's also this-
-but you'll have to be very, very, very precise with the tools
and don't forget: the smaller your drawing is, the more pixelated and crusty it will look
