so i decided to kill two birds with one stone and opted to draw a satirical take on scott and later ramona and-

i couldn't find any good references for him so i opted to reference his sprite from the game

i just randomly remembered that there was a time where my brother and i would come up with unique ways of showing one another this video to totally cringe each other out

looking back at it now... yeah it's still pretty cringe

the cutesy artstyle just makes me so fucking mad

but at least it's about a straight couple. we need more of those in the world

found out about this website called ironside via the newest opera gx sponsor, saw a section dedicated to laptops and thought "hey this is really good, now i don't have to deal with this green tint and a partially fractured screen (something i didn't mention before because it was a bit hard to explain) anymore", and

running my money and coins through an online total counter (and assuming i counted everything accordingly), i have about $170.57 in cash (quarters carried, there were 27 of them), which isn't nearly enough to cover the price

i could probably find a "cheaper" pc (cheaper in big ass quotes because it's still going to be expensive) somewhere else but i'm not trying to go broke for this

the last thing i want to happen is that i find a pc i can afford, i buy it at the cost of all of my money, and either

1. it has terrible storage and can barely run
2. it's hella easy to break and i can lose it faster than i can buy it
3. all of the above

i don't have to worry about my financial status since i haven't gotten to that point where i have to move out (yet) but still

i'm not trying to go broke for a pc

why are PCs so damn expensive

i haven't drawn in a long while due to the aforementioned computer problems and i really don't wanna get rusty (especially since i wanna make a comic series) so i'm just getting over said problems and drawing protoman.exe as a test of sorts

i've seen one too many instances of people making it seem like link is in a throuple with prince sidon and lady yona and now i'm too scared to go anywhere near the domain

i don't like the idea of (not one, but) two absolute fucking units hitting on me

either tumblr and their stupid ass headcanons are fucking with me or these fish really do want to get frisky with me

tumblr being wrong is more likely but it's that small chance that they're right that scares me

my laptop finally decided that it was time to stop fucking around and go completely to shit

first there were instances of visual glitches where my taskbar would multiply enough times to completely cover the screen (though they didn't happen often)

then there were several instances where my cursor would start bouncing around whenever the touchpad was used (this wasn't a constant thing and only happened at random points during the day)

then said instances stopped happening all of a sudden

..then my s key got a bug whereas it would occasionally ignore the input

then my left touchpad button broke, resulting in quick consecutive click inputs and/or involuntary click-and-drag inputs (both can be easily solved with a few presses of said key but they were still annoying)

then the frame that my laptop uses to close and fold itself got fractured, leading to complications whenever i wanted to close it

and now my laptop fucked up because i tried adjusting the screen after realigning the fractured frame, giving it this shitty green hue that makes it hard for me to see what's on screen

..i can't even see the "add tab" sign on my opera gx browser, that's how bad this is

isn't that fun

i say this because i might be inactive on social media while i try finding a more competent laptop

"just get a computer" no, i don't have anywhere to set it up where i am + i prefer to have a portable pc

i have succumbed to my jealousy of better artists and have gotten a drawing tablet as a result

and it's... a lot smaller than i imagined

and it feels like shit but that's probably because i've been using a touchpad to draw for the past couple of years

but-

-i'm sure i'll get used to it

i wish people would stop crying over akira

there is only so much you can do with krita

...yes i use krita and not clip studio paint or procreate like the cool kids

it was the first app that came up when i was looking for free art programs to get into digital drawings, those other ones did not come to mind
