-redesign itanji/kaishin and give NEXUS a proper design

-give my persona a new human redesign along the lines of that one digimon tamer thing i made a while ago because i work better with humanoid characters and i'm fucking tired of people calling me a furry

don't lump me in with those weirdos (yes i know not all of them are sexual degenerates that live in ways regular people like me wouldn't understand but still)

-make my art look as anime as possible. like, so much so they look like a clip out of an actual anime—something along the lines of yu-gi-oh or the newer digimon series (like, fusion/xros wars and onwards)

im still working on the thing from a few days ago, it's just that it's taking longer than i thought because i have to draw and color in two characters instead of my usual one

since i haven't posted anything in 2 days i feel like i should post a couple of updates on my last post

i had loosely referenced tyrranux's refurbished megaman design because i liked it and it fit the bill for what i had in mind for the character i'm trying to create

i didn't copy it 100% because

1. i'm not good with that kind of detail
2. that'd be cheap

and i ended up with:

it's pretty solid, i'd say. kinda looks like a kamen rider/ultraman character but it's pretty solid nontheless. it definitely needs some lineart to touch up on some details though

when drawing the lineart i felt as if it were pretty lackluster, the lines were flimsy, crooked and weird with dips in them so i looked for some lineart tutorials

the lines look sharp, i like it

still looks crooked but i don't think it's THAT bad. i could see the comic having this artstyle

(the Mesh refers to a device that functions similarly to Biometals from Mega Man ZX in the sense that it's a device that turns the user into a super-self with a powered exoskeleton, minus the souls and essences of dead robots)

(the triforce is there because not only does he possess a piece of it, he also possesses the spirit of the hero (despite being neutral due to his biased views on heroes and villains) and is an (unorthodox) incarnation of link)

i scrapped this drawing cus he looked stupid

anyways i figured that since i can't think of anything else to draw right now i might as well start making progress on that comic of mine by making a finalized design of the main character.. again

i think i have a good thing going

i opted to have his hair look similar to yugi's cause his hair looks kinda cool, it isn't an exact replica because i wanted him to be somewhat distinct

anyways earlier yesterday i decided to start drawing with intent to make a finished drawing rather than a scrapped shitty one that will never see the light of day outside of my mega folder

..but who to draw, i wonder

i did stumble upon a few twitter posts relating to bridget so i decided to draw him (based off of his guilty gear xx design because it looks simple enough) because he's pretty cute (no homo)

but it's getting pretty late for me right now (4:54 AM) so have this unfinished sketch for the meanwhile

i'm using a brush with static line weight this time around because a mutual of mine in a discord gc suggested it

i thought it was retarded cause i bought a drawing tablet FOR line weight but i decided to do it anyways cause... fuck it, it might work

must've touched a nerve with my first offense or something to have to wait a year to be unbanned

also I find it weird how they word it to make it seem like I was going around from thread to thread calling other users queermos and faggots when I only ever called people I thought were ruining the gaming industry those terms

i wish there was a site where having to respect them wasn't a necessity for interacting with other people online

was trying out a new means of sketching and i came up with a somewhat solid base for me to trace over when i add important stuff like the character i'm trying to draw in question and the details

i think i should focus more on my anatomy

..but i didn't know what to draw so i ended up drawing yugi because i've been consuming some yugioh content recently

(this is normal yugi, not dark/yami yugi since he gets more attention)

more specifically i've been watching season 0, both the manga and the anime

it's kinda weird since duel monsters is an after-thought in those adaptations and focuses more on games. not video games or board games, but like these batshit insane ones (then again, yu-gi-oh does mean something along the lines of "game king"). not to mention that the series is darker than the anime most people are familiar with (the one with exclusively duel monsters and not the other games) since dangerous and life-threatening situations happen to yugi and his buttbutties in almost every chapter (e.g being held in gunpoint, fighting serial killers being forced to play games with death as a penalty for losing like being electrocuted on an electric chair)

take this one for example:

a game where you can only move one of your ten fingers. yami tricks a guy (he's a criminal don't worry) into lighting himself on fire

oh yeah, and anzu/téa gets sexualized semi-frequently (which is kinda weird because she's like 15 or 16), here's a panel where there's a baby (he belongs to tristian/honda's sister) trying to rape her

i shouldn't be suprised though since japan has a thing for underage girls

there's a frame where you can see up meiru/mayl's skirt in an episode of rockman exe (it was snipped in the english dub (megaman nt warrior) THANK FUCK), and there are several instances of goku and bulma being buttass naked with little no censorship in dragon ball (not z, just dragon ball), and chi-chi's entire getup when she was a kid speaks for itself (is this why liking anime was taboo back in the day?)

still... what the hell am i getting myself into

this version of yu-gi-oh isn't bad, it's just.. madddd weird

i'm still gonna read and watch the anime cause it's actually really interesting once you look past all the typical japan tomfuckery

i might even get into the actual card game (like, the video games, not the actual thing. im not wasting money on card games, especially because i have nobody to play with, i don't have friends outside of internet mutuals 💀💀)
