anyways here he is

what i was going for before was okay but this is better (like i said before)

the old one looked like a side character in some backwater early 2000's anime nobody cares about and didn't have anything reminiscent of the source material

the original draft was loosely designed after this pokemon fit i copped from amazon based on red from the pokemon adventures manga (loosely designed because i didn't want it to look exactly like some random mf in a red costume) because i didn't want a plain design but didn't have anything else in mind (i decided to take real-life aspects from myself to keep in mind when designing this character, both on the old draft and the one shown here. i usually wear shirts and shorts and that doesn't make for an interesting design, so i opted for the red fit instead)

..and then i thought "nah this looks lame"

..and THEN i thought "if i were in digimon adventure 01 (or a digimon series in general), what would i be wearing ASIDE from the red fit?"

so i gave myself goggles (they're a staple of this franchise. i HAVE to draw myself (my persona?) with goggles you have to understand), a shirt with no vest (lots of characters have vests in this franchise, i wanna be different), cargo pants based off of something i saw on temu (because i love pockets (they're useful), wish i had more pants with more pockets aside from two, and think that anybody who makes pants or shorts with no pockets should be drug out into the street and shot), and shoes based off of some doodoo design i saw off of this one article because i couldn't think of anything else and my shoe design game is ass (i hate drawing shoes)
